Marketing and partner data

Business contact details for outreach, creator and affiliate payout details

Public sources, data providers, partners

Call recordings. We record and transcribe some calls and simulations to assess candidates, train our team and improve our Services. We tell you before a call is recorded.

Sensitive information. We do not ask for special category data (such as health, ethnicity or religion). Please do not include it in a CV or form. If we need it for a specific legal reason, such as making reasonable adjustments to an interview, we will ask for your explicit consent first.

Information about others. If you give us details of a referee or colleague, please make sure they are happy for you to do so.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information for the purposes below, each tied to a lawful basis under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except through the cookies you accept (section 5). We share it only with:

  • Clients: candidate profiles and assessment results, when we put a candidate forward for a role.

  • Candidates: a client's company name, role and offer details, when we introduce them.

  • Service providers: hosting, CRM, email and SMS, calendar booking, video and call recording, AI and transcription, payment processing, analytics and advertising platforms. They act on our instructions under written contracts and may not use your data for their own purposes.

  • Referees and verification providers: to confirm details you have given us, with your knowledge.

  • Group companies and successors: any company in our group, or a buyer or successor if we merge, are acquired or sell assets. They remain bound by this policy.

  • Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants and auditors, under confidentiality.

  • Authorities: where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of DealFuel, our users or others.

International transfers

Our team, clients and service providers operate in several countries, including the United States and the United Arab Emirates. When we transfer personal information outside the UK or European Economic Area to a country without an adequacy decision, we use safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to run our sites, remember preferences, measure performance and show relevant ads on platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn and Google.

  • Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site needs them.

  • Analytics and advertising cookies are set only with your consent where the law requires it. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of advertising cookies where required by law.

6. Marketing communications

We may send you news about roles, the network and our services by email, SMS, WhatsApp or phone, in line with applicable law. We will only send marketing texts or make marketing calls where you have agreed, or where the law otherwise allows.

You can opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe, replying STOP to a text, or emailing legal@dealfuel.ai. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about your account, membership or placements. Message and data rates may apply.

7. How we protect your information

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need it, multi-factor authentication on core systems, and vendor security reviews. We require our service providers to notify us promptly of any security incident.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

8. Children

Our Services are for adults seeking or offering professional work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact legal@dealfuel.ai and we will delete it.

9. Third-party sites

Our sites may link to, or embed content from, other websites and social platforms. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

10. Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop marketing to you. Email legal@dealfuel.ai. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within one month (extendable by two months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you why).

UK, EEA and Switzerland

You have the right to:

  • access a copy of your personal information;

  • have inaccurate information corrected;

  • have your information erased;

  • restrict how we use it;

  • object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;

  • receive your information in a portable format;

  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you;

  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

California and other US states

If you live in California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; and to opt out of any sale, sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

The categories we collect are set out in section 2, the sources in section 2, the purposes in section 3, and the recipients in section 4. You can make a request yourself or through an authorised agent, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or a notice on our site before it takes effect.
